The Heyer Anesthesia Museum

The Heyer Anesthesia Museum, established under the advocacy of Heyer Medical and with the active support of anesthesia experts, is the first professional museum themed around anesthesiology.

Currently, operated by Heyer Medical Group, it has developed into an important public welfare training base within the industry and a science popularization education base in Hebei Province.

Academic Activities and Exchange Exhibition Area

This area showcases the achievements of our country in the fields of anesthesia technology, anesthesia education, and anesthesia training. For instance, it features the most characteristic Chinese anesthesia techniques: epidural anesthesia and intravenous procaine compound anesthesia. A variety of anesthesia equipment required for these techniques is also displayed in the exhibition cases

Wu jue Area

The establishment of the Heyer anesthesia museum has been strongly supported by Professor Wu Jue, the founder of anesthesia in China. Professor Wu Jue died in 2008, and it is a great pity that he could not personally participate in the opening of the museum. Professor Xu Futao, son-in-law of Professor Wu, donated all the objects of his memorable life to the museum.

Professor Xie Rong is one of the founders of modern anesthesiology in China. He adhered to the principle of scientific research for clinical service, and spent most of his time in the laboratory, where he collected some of the experimental equipment and paper manuscripts he used.

The area records the life stories of the recipients of the "Lifetime Achievement in Anesthesiology" award, showcasing the brilliance of the older generation of anesthesia experts and commemorating their contributions to the field of anesthesia in China.

The equipment exhibition area is divided into two parts: domestic equipment area and imported equipment area. Over the years, the collection of old anesthesia-related objects in the Anesthesia Museum has never ceased. Thanks to the efforts of several generations of Heyer people, the museum's collection of equipment has gradually enriched, spanning different eras and fully displaying the historical charm.

The China Local Area

The walls of the Local Pavilion narrate the history of military anesthesia, the history of anesthesia in the Beijing area, the history of anesthesia in the Taiwan area, as well as representative figures and their notable deeds, all in textual form. The aim is to provide visitors with the latest and most detailed information about the academic society.

Respiratory Area

The area records a brief history of the development of critical care medicine, mechanical ventilation, and respirators. Additionally, it showcases early model representatives from Siemens and Vela.

The area houses a collection of professional journals, magazines, expert manuscripts, and other materials on anesthesiology from both domestic and international sources, with a total collection of over ten thousand volumes.

The history of anesthesiology exhibition area primarily showcases the development of anesthesiology through three periods: ancient, modern, and contemporary. It is believed that Hua Tuo was one of the earliest developers and users of anesthetics. The application of ether inhalation anesthesia in the modern era marked the beginning of a new epoch in anesthesiology.

The museum's collection is abundant

The museum's collection is encompassing anesthetic machines, ventilators, and related equipment, components, anesthetic drugs, professional books, academic journals, historical photographs, as well as materials related to representative experts and scholars from various periods.


It meticulously recreates the development history of anesthesiology in our country, systematically displays significant achievements in the field of anesthesia through the ages, and provides detailed and authoritative historical materials for current clinical research and equipment development in anesthesiology. The museum also serves as a platform to strive for the exchange and development in related fields.
